THE ZONES.

ZONE 1

Zone 1 is the start of Route Guano, a road that runs through all the Zones, as well as home to the Better Living Industries Waste Management Facility, a large dump/salvage yard that functions as a place for garbage from Battery City to waste away in peace. Dumpster diving is relatively common here, and useful items such as old cars/radios and other technology, bots and bot parts, and even recently-expired or unwanted/unopened canned food can be found here. Zone 1 is the least radiated zone, and is therefore the safest health-wise Zone for Killjoys to live in. Actually residing here, though, is unadvisable, as this Zone is closest to Battery City and is therefore the most heavily-patrolled Zone. Many Killjoys come here for strictly business reasons.

ZONE 2

Zone 2 is where much of the black-market activity of the Zones happens. It's much less tracked by the BL/ind watchdogs, and therefore a lot of unsupervised activity goes on. It's here that many autonomous lovebots sell their wares to Killjoys and Draculoids alike. Some Killjoys live near the outskirts of this Zone in its scattered diners and empty storefronts. This Zone is also not very radiated and provides a safer home to much of the desert's wildlife, so if one is looking for protein aside from Power Pup, this is the place where you'd find the most game. Beware, though - it's incredibly unsafe to actually eat any of the desert animals, as many of them are either rabid, have contracted the infectious radiation disease known as 'zone sickness', or both.

ZONE 3

Zone 3 is the middle ground between relative radiation safety and poisoning, and so this is the place that most Zone-dwellers call home. In caves, abandoned buildings, and even campsites, they make their lives, trying to stay afloat day by day and not get gunned down by a Drac on duty. Zone 3 is the place where the Fabulous Killjoys found the diner they called their home, and it's still standing as a memorial to the originals who lost their lives fighting for what they believed in. It's also home to a well known health clinic run by StrangeLove. Dr. Death Defying's hideout/radio station is rumored to broadcast from Zone 3.

ZONE 4

This is where the radiation in the air starts to thicken, and it becomes dangerous for most to travel in the areas for long periods of time without a rebreather. 'Black Market' activity happens here, and and recreational drugs can be traded/bartered for, or even paid for in carbons if one's gotten their hands on some. The useful items scavenged in the salvage yards of Zone 1 can be bartered for here - a place of repute is the warehouse manned by Mau5keteer, where one can acquire anything he finds interesting in the dumps - for the right price. (He especially likes canned vegetables.) This area is also where many fix-it shops are located, where Killjoys can get their often-ailing vehicles repaired.

ZONE 5

The chances of one getting Zone sickness increases by the step in Zone 5, and much of it is at this point unexplored. It's mostly a place where Route Guano branches off into smaller roads, taking Killjoys beyond the known 6 Californian Zones.

ZONE 6

If you've made it to Zone 6 alive, then you're in for a treat. Zone 6 is home to Hyper Thrust, the most popular dance club/bar/concert venue in the area. Famous (and not-so-famous) Killjoy acts play here nightly, and it's always a great time - some off-duty Draculoids have even been known to party here. When the going gets tough, the tough get to Hyper Thrust.
